Why Meltron MHB?
The Meltron HighBay Lighting System (MHB) is designed specifically for high industrial spaces, such as https://meltron.com/lighting-solutions/, where maintenance is time-consuming and costly. MHB’s high-power LEDs with aluminum core PCBs, graphite interface materials, and spring-loaded contacts to extruded aluminium. We offer superior lifetime and cooling, compared to luminaires using mid-power LED technology, and standard PCBs screwed onto cast enclosures.
The MHB driver unit drives up to four individually controllable LED modules, at well below maximum allowed currents, adding significantly to the LED lifetime. The driver and each light-source unit feature their own gore vent, keeping the ingress protection intact over time. With superior cooling, conservative driving, and optical modules free from dust, the luminaire exhibits significantly slower lumen depreciation than most of its competitors.
Compared to high pressure sodium lamps, the MHB system can deliver high quality white light with a minimum CRI of 70. Color rendering over CRI 90 is also available for industries where the best lighting quality is required.
The modular MHB System consists of a strong, durable and lightweight extruded aluminum enclosure units, offering various configuration options for specific optics, like micro-nanostructural optics, embedded optics, and Diffractive Optics (DO), for the most demanding lighting solutions of demanding industrial, and general lighting.
Mounting options for luminaries can also be delivered according to customers’ specific “tailor-made” requirements.
The driver is placed outside the luminary body for easy and fast installation, and possible replacement. The driver can be installed as much as 30m away from the luminary, when easier access to the driver is needed.
With its wide range for specific optic options, e.g., such as patented micro-nano structural Diffractive Optics (DO) light source solutions, driven for each modular unit separately, the symmetrical and/or a-symmetrical luminous distribution of the luminaire can be modified for the ultimate fit to any room height and required illumination level.
The MHB drivers are robust with superior thermal properties, keeping the electronics’ critical lifetime temperature well below the risk temperatures.
Upon request, the drivers can be Dali, PWM (0-10V), 1-10V, or wireless Casambi driven with one or multichannel options These driver control options also offer an intelligent interface for various building automation systems.
